Steve Logan and Alister Brown are avid hunter-gatherers and outstanding chefs. In 1997 they established Logan Brown restaurant in downtown Wellington, and since then they have received acclaimed reviews from New York to London. Peter Young
Producer/Director/Camera - Peter Young
Peter Young produced, directed and shot Hunger for the Wild. After spending most of his career behind the camera, this was Peter’s first series in the role producing & directing. “I had the support of a great team which allowed me to combine roles. As a crew we travelled light which helped keep a natural flow to things. I think that comes through in the show, there are many great, spontaneous moments."
Tracy Roe
Researcher/Writer/Associate Producer - Tracy Roe
Tracy Roe did the research and recce trips for the series, wrote the shooting and edit scripts and also helped direct post-production for Hunger for the Wild. With a background in making wildlife programmes for the international market, Tracy has really enjoyed the working on a series about New Zealanders for New Zealanders.
Gaylene Barnes
Gaylene Barnes - Designer & Editor
Gaylene Barnes edited Hunger for the Wild, as well as designing and creating the titles, graphics and animations for the series. Gaylene has been nominated twice in the New Zealand Screen Awards - "Best Documentary Editing" for 'Out of Sight/Out of Mind' (2005) and "Best Production Design" for 'Scarfies' (1999). www.raynbird.com

All the music for Hunger for the Wild was written and recorded by Auckland band The Bads - Brett Adams and Dianne Swann. The compositions are based on songs from their recent album Earth From Space, as well as pieces written specifically for the series. www.thebads.com
Sam Meehan
Sam Meehan - Production Assistant
Sam Meehan was the production assistant for Hunger for the Wild. Sam came to us fresh out of Broadcasting School as an intern and we enjoyed her great attitude and all the help she gave us. We wish her well for the future.
The Holden
The Holden
Al's 1964 EH Holden features prominently in the series. He bought it eight years ago in the Hawkes Bay and it was the car that he and his wife Liz used on their wedding day. Al Brown sorting out a few issues with the Holden on Porters Pass, Canterbury, South Island.
