Fisheye Films is about quality - not quantity.

We're a small team with a sound understanding of the entire film making process. We also draw upon a network of highly talented and skilled people, which means we are able to bring together the right team for your job.

From research to writing, shooting to editing, we have the skills and facilities to produce a wide range of productions. Whether it's primetime television, TV commercials, corporate videos or international documentaries, we have a proven track record and enjoy all aspects of this dynamic business.

Peter Young's Bio

Peter began writing and directing at TVNZ's Natural History Unit in Dunedin in 1989. With an interest in photography, he moved to the camera, shooting news and current affairs before establishing his own company Fisheye Films in 1997. Peter has worked as a freelancer ever since and his extensive experience includes wildlife, science, art and history documentaries. He also produces, directs and shoots TV commercials, music videos and dramas. Peter has won many awards for his skills and creativity behind the camera, both shooting and directing, but it's the opportunity to work with great teams and tell real stories that keeps him in the business.

Tracy Roe

Tracy Roe's Bio

Tracy is a freelance producer, researcher and writer, who started in television at Natural History New Zealand, where she was employed for seven years working on wildlife documentaries. Projects were primarily for international markets screening on National Geographic and Discovery Channels. Since 2005 Tracy has been at Fisheye Films and is thriving on the variety of work in a small company and enjoying making television for New Zealand as well as international audiences.

Elizabeth Koroivulaono

Elizabeth is a graduate from the New Zealand Broadcasting School and hails from Fiji.

She is interested in all aspects of Film and Television, but her passion lies in Production. She joined Fisheye Films as an intern to develop her skills in the Production process working on the Coasters series.

She also enjoys the outdoors, sports and cooking.

Matthew Simons

Production Assistant

Matt joined Fisheye Films after studying Film and Television at the New Zealand Broadcasting School.

He has a strong interest in photography and video post production and is keen to put his interests and knowledge into practice while working on Peter Young Stock Footage as well as the new series, Coasters.
